'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.' ~ John 12:24
The child is a seed; although seeming dry, God still works through the darkness, nurturing and growing us in ways we cannot imagine. It is a timely manner, something which cannot be rushed, so we need to surrender our old selves and let our flesh die. Through the silence, God whispers patience.
Often, we feel the waiting period is prolonged, yet in truth, God is continually nourishing us, allowing us to unconsciously grow, take root, and sprout. Therefore, do not fear waiting in the darkness - it is simply the necessary path before blossoming and bearing fruit.
